Here we are talking about rate cuts in the abstract…back in the real world, two Federal Reserve districts asked that the discount rate be hiked. St; Louis has previously asked for a hike but dropped that request at the last meeting, according to the minutes of the Fed’s discount rate meeting.
That should end, for now, talk of lower rates on reserves…
It may too end the rally in stocks and the dip in the dollar.
