EU plans to say its position won't change after May loses vote - report

"If MPs reject Theresa May's Brexit Deal, the EU27 are planning to quickly make clear that they will not change their position," BuzzFeed reports.

The report is from Alberto Nardelli, who is a reliable source.

"[The 27] will say that the ball is now exclusively in the UK's court," one source said.

There had been talk that May would work with Merkel to get some concessions ahead of a second vote but the German government shot that down (for now).

Cable continues to sink and is now down 138 pips on the day to 1.2727.
