10 year yields are mixed.

The European stocks are closing with steep declines.

  • German Dax is lower by -1.5%
  • France's Cac is lowered by -1.1%
  • UK's FTSE is down -0.9%
  • Spain's Ibex is down by -0.8%
  • Italy's FTSE MIB is down by -2.02%
  • Portugal's PSI 20 is down by -1.13%

IN the 10 year note sector, yields are mixed. German yields are lower, but the Italian yields are higher by 19.5 bps as concerns about EU skepticism resurfaced again today.

In the forex market, as London traders look to exit are now showing GBP remains the strongest. The BOE kept rates unchanged today but the vote was 6-3 (vs 6.2 last) and getting closer to tipping to tightening going forward. The NZD is the weakest now. At the NY open, the EUR was the weakest. The USD has turned negative after Philadelphia business index tumbled lower. Also the Supreme Court decision on sales tax of internet purchases has also helped to weaken the dollar a bit.

  • Spot gold is trading unchanged at $1267.74. The high reached $1273.85 while the low extended to $1261.34
  • WTI crude oil futures are trading down $.13 or -0.20% at $65.58. The range has a high at $65.89 while the low extended to $64.34
  • Bitcoin is trading down $20.35 at $6729. The range is a narrow $105 and trading today.

In the US, stocks are lower but off the lowest levels:

  • S&P indexes down -7.70 points or -0.28% at 2759.57. The low rates 2748. The high extended to 2769.
  • NASDAQ is down -20.5 points or -0.26% at 7761.21. The high extended to 7803 while the low fell to 7709
  • Dow industrial average trading down -116 points or -0.47% at 24541

US yields are lower with the five-year yield down the most:
