Bloomberg carries a report saying the EU is set to fine banks, Bloomberg citing two unnamed sources.
EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager has been investigating for nearly five years. The investigations have been given a bump to higher priority:
- probes targeting alleged collusion over the trading of government bonds
- also reviewing their foreign-exchange trading
