Optimistic tones to start the day

- French CAC 40 futures +0.2%
- UK FTSE futures +0.5%
- Spanish IBEX futures +0.3%
European investors are taking a cue from Asian stocks in early trades as futures are posting decent gains to begin the session. In Asia, the Shanghai Composite index closes near the highs up by 0.7% on the day.
Meanwhile, US equity futures are near flat levels at the moment. But as mentioned earlier, risk sentiment will ride a lot on the release of the US December CPI figures later today so be wary of that in the session ahead.
