Fed's Bostic talks in Atlanta
He adds:
- Hearing about labor shortages "everywhere I go"
- Goal for Fed policy should be to get more neutral stance
- US economy is in a good place
- expects to see inflation build
- we've embarked on a slow gradual move to neutral
- I'm not anticipating that path will change, but things happen. We will respond accordingly
- PCE moving higher and it's my expectation in a month or two it will be right at the target
Bostic is speaking at a seminar sponsored by Bloomberg Tax and Grant Thorton in Atlanta. He is a voter on the current FOMC this year.
