Forex trading headlines for Asia Friday 15 August 2014

EUR, GBP, Yen, CHF … all were stuck in sideways tight ranges today during the session.
AUD, NZD and CAD had a little more activity, but not much.
USD/CAD drifted off about 10 points from session highs.
AUD gained less than 10 points from session lows. NZD/USD ground its way lower, losing about 25 points into the NZ lunchtime before coming back 15-odd points to settle around 0.8480/85.
Gold was more or less flat.
Oil gained a little from early in the session in a quiet but sustained gain of about 40 cents.
Asian equity markets had a positive session (as of writing) except for a small dip in Tokyo.
