The on-going horse trading re the EFSF has meant that the EUR opens with a modest soft tone, currently trading at 1.3840, 50 pips below it’s NY closing level. Most of the topside stops were done on Friday as well, leaving the pair vulnerable to pullbacks. AUD/USD has again stalled near 1.0370, just below the 200-day MA.
