Betting suspended after flood of money rolls in on Robert Watt
Mr Button gets another feather in his cap and this time it's for taking on the bookies. Yesterday he wrote about the next head of the Irish central bank becoming a two horse race and noted that Robert Watt was favourite and a great price for only 2 runners
He later doubled down with this post.
He was telling me about it last night so I decided to lump on, as have some of my mates. Today the price dropped to 6/5 from 7/2 and then 1/6 before Paddy Power suspended all betting following "a rush of money for Robert Watt"
Paddy Power told Bloomberg;
"The money we've seen this morning would suggest that it's a done deal which is why we've pulled the plug ahead of any formal announcement"
Of course Watt is far from a done deal and PP is just reacting to market moves but I'm in at decent odds for a 2 horse race
If it comes in then Robert Watt will become my favourite central banker and I'll make sure I buy Adam an ice cream for the tip ;-)
