July is the third best month for the euro
Euro traders were bombarded with Greek headlines and nonsensical market moves in June. Despite all the turmoil, the euro held up until a late-June swoon.
Unfortunately, the gong show in Greece will continue but if you're looking for a slight ray of sunshine, the seasonals are a bit brighter for the euro this month. Whether you look at the medium or long term, July is a pretty good month for the euro.
Does that mean it could fend off a disaster in Greece along with a hawkish shift from the Fed? Absolutely not. But if it can get some momentum, buying a break of 1.1450 would be a great trade.
