Finance ministers and central bank governors from the Group of Seven countries will hold a call today to discuss the European debt crisis.
“Yes, we do have continuing discussions,” Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty told reporters yesterday in Toronto. He also said G-7 members would have more discussions today ahead of a summit of leaders from the Group of 20 next week and later said in Ottawa officials would discuss “the situation in Europe,” without elaborating about the call.
As Bloomberg reports above, the G-7 officials will hold a call specifically to discuss the EZ situation, perhaps laying the groundwork for more talks at the actual summit
