RKI estimates the virus reproduction rate to be at 0.75 as of yesterday

Germany

The 913 new cases brings the total confirmed cases to 173,152 but the additional ~1,400 recoveries still outpace the daily case count for now. RKI reports that an estimated ~151,700 persons have recovered from the disease.

Meanwhile, another 101 deaths were reported - bringing the total deaths to 7,824 persons.

In spite of some concerns about the virus spreading in some districts and slaughterhouses, the virus reproduction rate keeping under the 1.00 threshold means that the German government is most certainly going to stick with its plans to reopen the economy for now.

At this stage, the daily case count may not be of much importance unless we see it climb back to the couple of thousands. Otherwise, it is all about 'managing the load' rather than 'flattening the curve' any further - the same can be said for most other countries.
