A slight increase in the daily count but it is still less than 1,000 cases
That brings the total confirmed cases to 164,807 but an estimated 137,400 persons are reported to have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, the additional 165 deaths brings the total on that front to 6,996 persons as of the latest update by RKI.
The good news is that the virus reproduction rate is derived to be 0.71 as of yesterday, and that continues to sit below the key threshold of 1.00. Hence, that will continue to give the green light to German authorities to take further steps to reopen the economy.
