There is no change in German govt position on Greece

So says govt spokesman Seibert

  • expects Greece to be part of the talks of the Eurogroup on 18 June
  • no other special meetings on Greece planned

Also out fin min spokesman Jaeger saying IMF has not broken off talks with Greece

  • IMF decision is a warning to Greece to intensify negotiations
  • it's inconceivable to think there will be a solution without IMF involved
  • institutions have shown a great deal of flexibility with Greece

Good cop, bad cop as the circus show continues. Do you reckon these guys sit in adjoining offices? I'd love to know. Surely just one person can handle a few press statements.. UK may be a bit Yes Minister but this uber-efficient Germany we're talking about
