The backdrop of the G7 summit now is one of elevated hostilities - following a series of Trump tweets overnight and earlier this morning aimed at Europe and Canada. It'll be interesting to see what sort of developments will take place today and tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath for any breakthrough in talks though.
