The VDMA engineering association expects stagnation in output to continue in 2016 due to global instability
President Reinhold Festge says today in a planned speech in Berlin:
" We seem to live in a decade of growing uncertainty. We see wars and civil wars, sometimes on the immediate borders of Europe. We see unexpectedly weak markets. We also see that big questions about Europe growing together.
This does not pass the engineering sector by without leaving its mark"
In July the VDMA cut its 2015 output growth to 0% from +2% prev
Festge says that the current figures indicated that the sector should be able to hold order intake, production and employment steady this year
Steady maybe but the wobbles in Germany continue
