This Bloomberg BusinessWeek report quotes a newspaper poll which has 7 out of 10 Greeks supporting the EUR but a majority are against the austerity measures. Well I’m afraid they are going to have to make up their mind one way or the other because a Yes vote in the referendum will mean staying in the EUR but accepting the austerity measures.

There is some talk starting to circulate that some opposition parties might combine to convince the electorate not to vote at all, as a turnout of less than 40% would leave the result meaningless. May you live in interesting times.
