Here's a post for those trading the Australian equity market.
- Goldman Sachs has a bullish call on the banks and materials sectors
- GS has issued its first "overweight" forecast for the Australian sharemarket since the GFC
- They say market trends seen in the latter part of 2016 would drive markets next year
Business insider have a post up with more, and its ungated: "Australia looks better positioned than many other parts of the region against the backdrop of global reflation, firmer commodity markets, a stronger US dollar and more protectionist US trade policies"
The Australian (Australia press also have a piece up, but it may be gated (Rupert is a bit demanding that way): "Australia's exposure to these positive reflationary forces without the downside from increased trade barriers, led our regional team in their recent 2017 outlook to move to 'overweight' the ASX 200 for the first time in over a decade."
