The meeting between OPEC members will be for 1 July with the follow-up meeting with OPEC+ members to take place on 2 July, before the joint press conference will be held right after that. Here's the tentative agenda:
An extension of the current production cuts (set to expire at the end of this month) until the end of the year is very much a given at this point. However, with the cuts having failed to curb the oversupply issue faced by the oil market in 1H 2019, the onus is on OPEC+ to do more in order to restore confidence for prices to move higher again.
So, let's see where they'll land upon on that matter and whether or not they can convince Russia to stay in the pact.
