BERLIN (MNI) – The International Monetary Fund currently expects
German GDP to grow by 3.3% this year, slowing to 2% in 2011, German
weekly Der Spiegel reported Sunday, citing a draft of the IMF’s new
World Economic Outlook.

The Fund sees strong German export growth this year but also a pick
up of domestic demand, the magazine reported.

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said earlier this month
that GDP growth will likely exceed 3% this year but slow next year.
