All IMF members have an annual “article IV” check up each year. Spain’s will be released tomorrow. An IMF spokesperson says it is important for Spain and Italy to follow through on previously announced reforms.
The spokesman said that the IMF stands by a comment made in March that Greece may need more aid and further debt restructuring if its aid program goes off the rails.
