Better claims numbers (total 760k is the lowest since 1975) and revision though the unemployment rate stays unchanged. Earnings are mixed. We drop a pip on the main number but see a gain when bonuses are taken out. Dec & Jan are when bonuses have a bigger say in the numbers so we'll have to take Jan's pay numbers to get a better idea of things. Overall a steady report and nothing to really upset the pound.
The Q4 numbers are also out;
- Q4 2015 jobless -60k q/q to 1.690m
- Q4 LFS employment +205k q/q to record 31.417m
