JAPAN DATA: Revised industrial output in November will be released
at 1330 JST (0430 GMT) today by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and
Industry. The preliminary data showed the first m/m rise in six months
in output, +1.0% in November vs. -2.0% in October, thanks to increases
in auto output and suggesting industrial production has hit bottom.
Based on the preliminary November figure and METI’s forecast index for
December output (+3.4% m/m), the October-December production will drop
1.6% q/q, a second consecutive quarterly fall vs. -1.8% in Q3 of 2010.
