The strength for Boris is a surprise. Stewart was the last to drop out and the assumption was that his votes wouldn't go to Johnson, yet he picked up nearly as much support as the rest of the field combined. That points to either 1) strategic voting earlier or 2) that politicians aren't honest, principled men and women, but rather self-interested snakes. I lean towards the latter.
In any case, the final round of voting should be interested with Gove and Hunt in a virtual dead heat.
The slimy thing to do would be for Boris Johnson to figure out which of Gove or Hunt he'd like to face off against (or who would be willing to drop out) and direct enough of his supporters to get that candidate over the line.
