A snapshot of midday levels/London closing levels

The major stock indices in Europe are ending with gains:

  • German Dax rose 0.3%
  • France's CAC rose 0.5%
  • UK FTSE rose 0.1%
  • Italy's FTSE MIB rose 1.06%
  • Portugal's PSI20 rose 0.5%

In the 10 year note sector, the 10 year yields are mostly higher although the Italian yields are now lower as Italy's political leaders talked up the budget to calm market fears. After being as high as 3.711%, the yield is now down at 3.477%.

In other markets:

  • Spot gold is up $1.37 or 0.12% at $1189
  • WTI crude oil is up $0.58 or 0.79% at $74.90 in an up and down session. The low reached $74.00 the high is up at $75.14
  • Bitcoin is steady at -$50 at $6573

In the US stock market:

  • The Dow is up 50 points at 26531 and near high at 26537
  • The S&P is up 7.72 points at 2892.16. The high is 2894.83
  • The Nasdaq is up 45 points at 7781. The high reached 7799. The 100 day MA is at 7786. Key level.

US yields are lower after being higher earlier in the day:

In the forex market, the GBP has moved to the strongest currency of the majors on reports that a Brexit deal could be done by Monday. The USD has moved lower in the NY session and is only above the EUR as the weakest of the majors now. Below is the ranking as London traders look to exit.
