  • 4.6% vs 4.8% exp y/y. Prior 4.7%. Revised to 4.6%
  • Ex-fuel 0.2% vs 0.1% exp m/m. Prior 1.2%. Revised to 0.8%
  • 4.4% vs 4.5% exp y/y. Prior 4.7%. Revised to 4.6%

Yes we've beaten expectations but we've got worse revisions to last month. Cable doesn't care at the moment as it pushes up to 1.5929

The ONS say that a drop in clothing sales weakened the retail numbers most of all

Prices are still falling in the shops which will continue to take the pressure off of inflation. Prices fell 2.7% against May 2014. That's the 11th consecutive month of falling prices and is mainly being led by petrol station prices. They fell 10.2% and has been down 21 months on the trot
