US House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Neal sends letter to IRS seeking President trump's tax returns
- Neal has requested IRS provide six years of trump's personal and business tax returns
Neal is basing the request on the polict of the the IRS of auditing the tax returns of all sitting presidents and vice presidents.
- "I am certain we are within our legitimate legislative, legal, and oversight rights" he said.
Neal has given the IRS until April 10 to comply with the request.
