Mexico's Guajardo: NAFTA talks are going very well

It ain't over until it is over

Mexico's economic minister Guajardo is on the wires saying that the NAFTA talks are going very well, but there is no deal yet.

He adds:

• We are "doing our best" to get auto deal as fast as possible.

The other issue is the sunset clause that allows the US to back out and reset after a certain time period.

Of course, headlines of that type have been heard for a while now. What we know, is it ain't over until it is over and the biggest sticking points are enough to stop the whole process.

Guajardo is speaking to reporters in Washington, DC.

The USDMXN has been correcting higher in trading today after stalling at low for the week at the 18.4007 area. The price also moved above a trend line today.
