News via Bloomberg, citing MOF's Mitsuru Ota

  • An official in the MOF contacted the lawyer and requested for the lawyer to lie
  • Ota also apologises to the parliament for the actions

I believe they are citing the NHK report here. Which says that an MOF official asked the Moritomo lawyer to lie about why the school operator received a huge discount when they bought the state-owned land.

Not going to make too much of a difference to the matter as it is quite clear how things went down in this case. And the general public knows that too.
