If I need to get a real feel for how the UK economy is doing I take a visit to my barber.
So off I went yesterday. I asked him how business had been lately. He replied “absolutely terrible” and that yesterday (I visited him at 3.00 pm) was lining up to be the worst day he’d ever had. Even beating days when the country was effectively snowed in. And this guy has been in the hair cutting business for the past 35 years, so that’s saying alot.
So there we have it folks. People in the UK are so hard up, so worried about their jobs, they’re not even getting their hair cut.
Oh-eh, what’s to become of us…….
