New Zealand, ANZ business survey for April
Business Confidence barely improved at -37.5
- prior -38.0
Business Activity Outlook does get a touch better to 7.1
- prior 6.3
Most activity indicators were steady, some to slightly up
Residential construction intentions fell further, to a fresh decade low.
Note, as I said earlier, two thirds of survey responses came in before the Ardern government committed to ruling out a capital gains tax. This should give a boost to the May confidence measure.
