Tokyo's main index closes the day lower as Asian equities are softer in general

Not much change after the lunch break in the Nikkei as it closes the day lower. Follows the softer tone in European equities yesterday. USD/JPY is higher on the day though, with the dollar gaining strength across the board - the pair is now at 106.87, up almost 30 pips on the day.
