Tokyo's main index closes near the lows for the day

Japanese stocks have given up their early gains as Chinese equities head lower into the closing stages. Sentiment is still very much fragile in markets but there isn't any signs of a major decline seen in risk yet as we start the week.
E-minis are a little lower by 0.25% but that hasn't put much of a dent in yen pairs thus far. USD/JPY still trades at 111.95 near flat levels on the day. Likewise for EUR/JPY and GBP/JPY at 127.55 and 143.67 respectively.
