The Nikkei lacked direction today as traders await the FED decision. While it is expected that rates wont be changed, traders are keen for any word on the FED’s next move.
The Nikkei sees slight gains of 0.09% with volumes low and institutions sitting on the fence. Good gains were sen in Shell Sekiyu, +6% on plans it will work with Saudi Aramco Oil on a feasibility study on solar power business in Saudi Arabia.
In Sydney the ASX200 was flat with ex-dividend falls and banking stocks pressuring the gains in Oil stocks. NAB -1.6%, BHP -0.6%, WPL +2%.
The Kospi is up 0.2%.
