Obama wants the Congress to pass a bill cutting taxes and increasing loans to small business.
Republicans in the Senate are holding up the bill, trying to amend it to strip out a requirements that small business file tax forms with the government for each and every expenditure of $600 dollars. That’s a bureaucratic nightmare that is sure to reduce business spending.
Obama says he an his dwindling economic team are discussing additional steps to spur the economy.
Stocks trade at their lows after the remarks, down 0.75%.
