Once again, apologies for the down time due to both Mike's and my hamsters dying on the internet wheel
I've got a replacement but Mike is still chasing his around the garden and will hopefully be back with us shortly
The world keeps turning and here's some of the headlines that have passed through in our absence
- Moscovici says when Greece joined the euro it was not ready too
- Spain's de Guindos (back to his day job after failing to replace Dijsselbloem as Eurogroup head) says that Spanish GDP will grow at an annualised 4.0%
- ECB welcomes Greek draft law on bank resolution
- Japan gov maintains overall economic assessment in July, economy in moderate recovery. Industrial output assessment cut to flat
- As per prior post the UK posted the lowest June budget deficit since 2008 (note the spin on highlighting that it's just June)
- Bulgaria is going to build a €240m hotel and shopping centre
- Kuwaiti oil minister says oil producing states expect global growth to boost prices in the future
That's as good as it gets from the headlines so far so we haven't missed much
It looks like Mike is now out of the picture for the rest of the day as there is a fault in his area that's cut off the broadband
