Another executive quits Tesla

Tesla top lawyer Dane Butswinkas is leaving the company, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The car maker continues to make news with executives departing as shorts level accusations of fraud and colorful accounting. The company has seen two CFOs, two CAOs and five VPs of finance leave in the past two years.

The report the decision to quit is due to cultural fit, family and the desire to return to Washington where he said he will work with Tesla in an outside counsel role.

Shares of the company fell as much as 1.5% in the pre-market near $300.

Shares have been chopping in the $250-$400 range for the past two years as the bulls and bears sort out whether this company is the future or a house of cards.
