Header out a little earlier from an article by the Greek PM in Der Tagesspiegel
"The blind insistence of cuts (in pensions) in a country with 25% unemployment rate and half of all the young people are unemployed will only cause a further worsening of the already dramatic social situation"
He said that pensions are the only source of income for countless families in Greece and wrote that the state's expenditure for pensions and social spending were cut by 50% between 2010-2014
"That makes further cutbacks in this sensitive area impossible"
Tsipras also rejected the "myth" that German taxpayers are paying Greek pensions and wages by saying that, "contrary to the widespread belief in Germany, Greeks work longer than Germans"
I have a feeling his pleas/argument will fall on deaf ears
