Greive amendment

The UK lawmakers have voted in favor of a plan which might hinder government from suspending Parliament if it pursues a note deal Brexit.

  • requires fortnightly reports to be made after the conference recess until a Northern Irish executive is formed or until the December recess

The gist is pro-EU lawmakers are trying to put hurdles in the way of any future Prime Minister who wishes prorogue Parliament to push through a no-deal exit.

Eventually, the UK will have to have to rubber meet the road and agree on a deal that is suitable to the EU or have a no deal Brexit and hope for the best. Of course they need a PM first. ; )

PS. Candidates Hunt and Johnson will have a debate at 2000 BST/1500 GMT. Boris Johnson is the overwhelming odds on favorite to get the nod.
