It looks like May might have been a tough month for retailers here in the UK as the online side posts the slowest growth rate in this survey’s nine year history and was down 3.5 % from April’s level. This might give us a heads up in how the official stats will come out later, but the ONS figures are now subject to scepticism.
Cable has cleared 1.6400 as a couple of French names have been seen buying. 1.6450 remains the near term target.
