USD is the strongest currency on the major bloc
The dollar is firming up nicely on the day and the bids are continuing into the European session as well.
The dollar is close to the highs on the day against most major currencies, with USD/JPY circling around the 109.80 level, USD/CAD at 1.2300, USD/CHF at 0.9285. Meanwhile, we're seeing EUR/USD touch session lows at 1.2486, cable near the lows at 1.4227, AUD/USD still under 0.8000, and NZD/USD touching session lows as well.
There's not much news to go about on the day but the dollar selling in recent weeks have been the biggest play we have seen in the market this year. It's not a surprise to see some money being taken off the table when we have the non-farm payrolls report later.
