US MBA mortgage market index data week ending 29 January 2016

• Mortgage market index 460.6 vs 472.8 prior
• Purchase index 221.1 vs 237.8 prior
• Refi index 1827.6 vs 1822.5 prior
• 30yr mortgage rate 3.97% vs 4.02% prior

Mortgage applications can swing around a bit so don't get too invested in it. Purchases eased but remain in the upward trend. Housing is ticking along nicely, if not spectacularly.
