China considering proposal

The US has asked China to shift retaliatory agricultural tariffs on agriculture elsewhere and China is considering it, according to an earlier report from Bloomberg.

"The shift is because the U.S. doesn't intend to lift its own duties on $50 billion of Chinese imports even if an agreement to resolve the trade war between the two nations is reached, one the people said," the report says.

The idea is that Trump would get to claim and win and that the agricultural exports would boost GDP ahead of the 2020 election.

I don't see why China would accept this offer but they certainly want to play ball. Either that or they're dragging Trump along until the election.
