Today saw the release of vehicle sales figures for December in the US:
- Sales rose 9% in December compared with a year ago and were up 19% compared with November.
- For the full year, sales rose 13.4% to 14.5 million cars and light trucks, the highest point since 2007
- Demand was boosted by consumers replacing vehicles that are on average 11 years old.
