Decision awaits Pres. Trump's final approval
Tariffs on China are proceeding according to the WSJ and are awaiting Pres. Trumps approval. They can start being imposed as early as Friday according to the report, but Trump may want to delay so that he can get their help on the negotiations for denuclearization of N. Korea.
It is thought that a move by the US would likely lead to heavy retaliation from Beijing.
The total amount is still being decided. The initial idea was for $50B, but is being refined as some goods are added and some are taken out.
