In its latest assessment for the month of July, the Japanese government upgraded its view on the economy - noting that "the economy is picking up gently" and is signaling a broader recovery in activity as the effects of the pandemic fade.
Of note, the government raised its view on private consumption and employment conditions, as well as imports - reflecting an improvement in domestic demand conditions.
