Hunt has long been a prominent Conservative MP and was Secretary for State Health from 2012-18. Later, he was Secretary for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and the runner up to Boris Johnson in the 2019 leadership contest.
He ran again against Truss but didn't get past the first ballot.
