Dow has closed at record close 15 times since US Election

The Dow closed at yet another record. The index closed about about 39.58 points or 0.20%. That was good enough for the 15th record close since the US election. Dow 20K is only 204 points away. Let me guess on Fed day, the 20K level will be hit regardless of what the Fed does or says and then the index will get hammered. Stay tuned.

The other major indices were not as successful today:

  • S&P index fell by 2.57 points or -0.11%. The high extended to 2264.03 while the low came in at 2252.37.
  • NASDAQ composite index fell 31.958 points or -0.59%. The high reached 5434.89 and the low extended to 5394.418.

Another day, another record close for the Dow but not all were happy today.
