10 year yields are up in Europe

The European major stock indices are ending the session with gains:

  • German Dax up 0.3%
  • France's CAC up 0.9%
  • UK FTSE up 0.7%
  • Spain's Ibex fell a modest -0.1%
  • Italy's FTSE MIB up 0.58%
  • Portugal's PSI 20 unchanged

For the week:

  • German DAX fell -0.70%
  • France's CAC was little changed at 0.05%
  • UK's FTSE fell -0.84%
  • Spain's Ibex rose 1.11%
  • Italy's FTSE MIB rose 0.45%

10 year yields in Europe are mostly higher:

  • Germany 0.629%, up 1.8 basis points
  • France 0.913%, up 2.8 basis points
  • UK 1.444%, up 3.2 basis points
  • Spain 1.409%, unchanged
  • Italy 2.01%, up 4.4 basis points
  • Portugal 1.946%, up 4.1 basis points

In other markets as London/European traders look to exit:

  • Spot gold is higher by $5.24 or 0.39% at $1353.31
  • WTI crude oil futures moving back higher at $.53 or 0.81% at $66.04
  • Bitcoin on the Bitstamp exchange is currently down $230 at $11,049. The 100 day moving average is currently at $11,170. The price continues to trade above and below that key moving average (it did so all week)

In the US stock market at the US midday:

  • The S&P is up 13.61 points or +0.48% at 2852.72
  • The Nasdaq is up 42.2 points or 0.57% at 7453.07
  • The Dow is hired by 75.47 points or 0.28% at 26468

In the US debt marke, yields are highert:

  • 2 year 2.124%, up 4 basis points
  • 5-year 2.475%, up 5.5 basis points
  • 10 year 2.664%, up 4.6 baselines
  • 30 year 2.917%, up 3.6 basis points

Finally in the forex market, the AUD is the strongest currency and getting stronger in the NY session. The USD remains as the weakest and getting weaker since the start of the NY session.
