Dreaming about it...
Last week was on vacation...well actually it was a little more than a vacation as we celebrated my son and new daughter in law's marriage. Needless to say, a great time was had by all.
Coming back was not easy but the action in the market on this lazy Monday, reminds me of the time lounging by the pool or on the beach. Not much to do, but to just look around, watch, think a little but mostly let your mind wander.
The chart below shows the range today for some of the major currency pairs (top line), the average range over the last 22 trading days (about a month time period), and the % of the range vs the average. If the % is less than 100 (which all of them are), that is a below average day. When the there are percentages in the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s, that is really.... well lazy. The EURUSDs range is only 36% of the average. The highest is the AUDUSD with a range that is 78% of the average. Ho-hum.
Makes you want to say, "Pass the sun screen please".
